Knights
of
Council #10872
The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic Men’s
organization who’s first Principle is Charity.
In support of this, Council #10872 members perform various fund-raising
activities throughout the year. The
Council provides project financial support within the Church, the community,
the council, families, and youth.
Throughout the year, the Council receives numerous
requests for financial support to meet needs in these areas. However, funds availability is limited. To facilitate the distribution of these funds
and to help provide us with accountability, we ask that you complete the
following form, and submit it to the Grand Knight. The Grand Knight will bring it before the
members of the Council for consideration and approval according to our
constitution and by-laws.
Please allow as much time as possible between your
request and the planned need for the funds.
Amounts less than $500 may be approved more rapidly. Those exceeding $500 will be presented to a
Charities Committee for review prior to introduction to the Council at the next
business meeting. Another monthly
business meeting will be required before the request can be approved by vote
and the monies disbursed.
The Council reserves the right to limit monies awarded and may require matching funds from the requesting organization. Also, the Grand Knight or Council may place stipulations on how/where the funds are used. For instance, if the Council (or a member) can purchase an item for less than the amount presented in the application, the Council may require that this purchase be done by/through the Council, rather than from the requestor’s source.
To request Council financial support, please complete
the following form. Have it approved and
signed by the Parish priest.
The completed form may be submitted either of two
ways:
1. Present the completed form to the Grand Knight, or ask a member of Council #10872 to present it to him.
2. Mail the completed form to:
Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Community
Spring, TX 77379
You will be advised of the Council’s decision as soon as possible following a meeting at which funding can be approved.
